Toftevåg specialises in employment law, dispute resolution and pensions. He assists a number of Norwegian and international companies, employers’ associations and public sector institutions. He has previously worked in the employment law department of the Confederation of Norwegian Enterprise (NHO) and has considerable experience as an advisor to unionised companies.
Frode Martin is recognised as one of the country’s leading experts on employee protection rules in business transfers. He has extensive experience as a litigator and has conducted a wide range of cases before the ordinary courts, as well as proceedings before the Labour Court and the EFTA Court.
Toftevåg has considerable experience as an advocate and has represented clients in a great many cases before the ordinary Norwegian law courts, the Labour Court of Norway and the EFTA Court.

Toftevåg is currently considered one of the country’s foremost experts on employee protection rules applying to business transfers. His advice in this area is sought by a number of large Norwegian enterprises, and he frequently lectures on the topic.

Toftevåg has extensive experience of advising on pension-related matters. He previously chaired the body that administers the contractual early retirement pension scheme (AFP) in the Norwegian private sector (Fellesordningen for Avtalefestet Pensjon og Sluttvederlagsordningen) and has served on the AFP complaints board (Klagenemnden for AFP-saker). He is currently considered one of the country’s foremost experts on the AFP early retirement scheme.
