Stuart Stock

Stuart is an experienced competition lawyer with extensive expertise in large and complex competition law matters. He advises across the full spectrum of competition law, with a particular focus on merger control and multi-jurisdictional investigations, where he has developed significant specialist knowledge.

Stuart is qualified as a solicitor in England and Wales, in addition to being admitted to practise as a lawyer in Norway. He previously worked in the competition team at Herbert Smith Freehills LLP in London and at the UK competition authority, the Competition and Markets Authority (CMA).

Stuart is a regular speaker at conferences and has published widely on topical competition law issues, including merger control, the application of competition law in the renewable energy sector, and developments in foreign direct investment and foreign subsidies regimes. He is the author of the chapters on Norwegian merger control and Norwegian FDI in Lexis+, as well as the chapter on EEA merger control in Practical Law.

Stuart is a member of the Committee for International Lawyers of the Norwegian Bar Association.
