Aleksander Rygh Pedersen specializes in corporate law and M&A work. He assists clients in all kinds of transactions, from smaller acquisitions/sales to larger strategic deals. Since joining as an associate in 2018, he has earned the trust of his colleagues and the firm's clients by successfully managing several transaction processes.

Aleksander also regularly provides assistance to venture funds and start-up companies in various growth phases, offering due diligence services, contract drafting, and other general and strategic advice. He also has experience with shareholder disputes and legal proceedings following completed transactions, including handling of warranty claims.

In addition to assisting clients, he is also the chairman of Gnist Capital AS, a pre-seed investment company based in Trondheim.

We share the excitement with the parties involved, and are proud to have assisted Strise in this funding round.

Strise develops software for automating anti-money laundering work. Their client list includes, among others, Nordea, Handelsbanken and Vipps Mobilepay.

Marit Rødevand, CEO and co-founder of Strise, describes them as a dream investor.

This financial boost will put Strise in position to roll out their AML Intelligence System to the global arena. Our lawyer Aleksander Rygh Pedersen was the leading legal adviser to Strise in this funding round.

Strise successfully raised USD 10.8 Million  

BEWI Invest is a Norwegian industrial owner with a high-quality portfolio mainly comprised of companies within industry, real estate, and seafood. The company has a long-term perspective and has demonstrated a proven track record of value creation and growth.

SBH is an integrated salmon farmer attractively located in central Norway, and has a strong financial and operational track-record and had revenues of NOK 3 487 million and EBITDA of NOK 796 million in 2022 (proforma).

BEWI Invest states the following in a press release:

- SBH is a highly attractive addition to the BEWI Invest portfolio and a milestone in the ongoing creation of a strong and profitable seafood business to complement BEWI Invest’s other investments, mainly 51 per cent ownership in the industrial company BEWI ASA and 43 per cent ownership in the real estate company KMCP Properties ASA, both listed on the Oslo Stock Exchange.

The consideration will comprise of a combination of cash, hybrid bonds in BEWI Invest and newly issued shares in BEWI Invest, whereby the Sellers will become significant minority shareholders in BEWI Invest. The Transaction is expected to close 28 April.

Arntzen de Besche has assisted BEWI Invest with a NOK 2.2 billion transaction in SinkabergHansen

Since 2017, Aqualoop has developed solutions for aquaculture at sea, including the flagship "Big Dipper" which can be used for farming fish at sea. The solution is optimal for biological production of salmon regardless of weather conditions.

Håvard Wollan, founder of Aqualoop, states the following:

We follow the work to facilitate offshore aquaculture in Norway with both excitement and anticipation, but at the same time we at Aqualoop have been clear that we will address offshore aquaculture internationally. That is why I am extremely pleased that Icelandic Markó Partners, headed by Kjartan Olafsson, is joining the ownership side and that Kjartan is joining as a new board member.

Arntzen de Besche has assisted Aqualoop with raising capital 

Armaturjonsson is wholly owned by Ernströmgruppen, a family-owned industrial conglomerate that operates, develops and acquires well-managed companies within a number of selected niches. The Ernström Group places emphasis on sustainability, innovation and digitalisation, and through this the Group wishes to contribute to long-term and competitive activities. 

The purchase of Termorens is Engström Group's second purchase in Norway this year, and will contribute to strengthening the Group's contribution to the UN's sustainability goal of clean water for all.

Termoren is a Norwegian company that has worked to limit the risk of high concentrations of bacteria, especially Legionella, in potable water installations in all types of buildings.
