Vegard Magnus Sevaldsen

Vegard Magnus Sevaldsen practices primarily in competition law, state aid, EU/EEA law and FDI. He also advises clients on matters relating to sanctions, export control and anti-money laundering.

He provides competition law advice in connection with mergers and acquisitions and advises on horizontal and vertical issues. He also works with matters under the Norwegian Security Act and the FDI framework, and has experience from proceedings before both Norwegian and international competition authorities.

Vegard Magnus is a co-author of the books Vertical Agreements and Competition Law and a student-oriented book on EEA law, and serves as an examiner in competition law at the University of Bergen.

He holds a Master of Laws from the University of Oslo and an LL.M. from the London School of Economics, where he wrote his dissertation “Homogeneity sans frontières? The legal significance of the EU Charter of Fundamental Rights under EEA Law”. He has previously worked in the legal department of the EFTA Secretariat in Brussels.
