Trine is part of the Technology and Innovation practice group, where she works on matters related to data protection, information security, and regulatory compliance. She assists public and private organisations in complying with the requirements of the GDPR, the Norwegian Digital Security Act (Digitalsikkerhetsloven), and the DORA Act. Trine regularly gives presentations on both data protection and cybersecurity regulations.
Trine previously served as the Data Protection Officer for the Courts of Norway, where she worked closely with IT, CISOs, and information security advisors, gaining solid technical expertise that complements her legal background. She also holds academic qualifications in technology and digital security from the Norwegian University of Science and Technology (NTNU), where she wrote about the use of AI in cybersecurity and security in the cloud.
Trine is a member of the “Committee for Privacy, Information Security and Cybersecurity” in Standards Norway, and she has been appointed as Norway’s national expert to ISO/IEC JTC 1/SC 27 WG4 and WG5, contributing to the development of new standards in the areas of privacy, AI, and cybersecurity. She also serves on the board of the Norwegian Association of Lawyers’ Tech Forum, where she works on issues related to digitalisation and societal development.
During her studies, Trine specialised in cybersecurity, and her master’s thesis analysed statutory incident notification obligations for cybersecurity breaches under the GDPR and the NIS Directive. The latter was implemented in Norway on 1 October 2025 as the Digital Security Act (Digitalsikkerhetsloven).
